Makoun Says Next Season Won’t Be Easy For Lille
By: Julien | July 20th, 2007Another LOSC player interview has emerged. Francefootball.fr has interviewed Jean II Makoun, a LOSC midfielder. The interview is pretty long so I will just explain some interesting points. Currently the club is preparing for their friendly match against Sporting Lisbon. Makoun also says he had to think a lot about possibly transferring from Lille to a big club like Olympique Lyonnais and Arsenal. He says that he stayed in part because of a new challenge and responsibility. Supposely, Puel told the elder Lille players that it will be their job to help the young players by guiding, and developing them. The Cameroonian midfielder, says he felt intrigued by the challenge. He also says he will play the upcoming season wholeheartedly for Lille, and without a departure like objective. When asked what clubs or leagues interest Makoun, he replied whichever club wants him the most or needs him the most. Makoun agrees that the club has lost several important players, but he says there are several young players that have shown aspiring things at practice. Although, Makoun hopes those players can help compensate for their losses, he realizes that it won’t be easy for Les Dogues. Makoun says the club still does not have an objective for next season, and that they will meet to devise one. Finally, he feels that although Lyon is the club to beat next season, personally he thinks Olympique de Marseille will do the best. Also here is a video clip of the official LOSC team presentation:
