Transfer News:Dica to Lille?Rough Start?

Nicolas Dica
Another transfer rumor has emerged with the club. Supposely, Steaua Bucarest striker, Nicolas Dica, is another striker that has interested LOSC. A Lille OSC fansite, allezlesdogues.com, has reported that the Romanian striker is being followed by LOSC, and their rival RC Lens. Dica quotes: “Lille et Lens, c’est également dans l’air. J’irai là où l’on me désire le plus” (Lille and Lens are evenly in the air. I will go where I am wanted more). The fansite also said that it is more likely that Dica will move to Lille since Gignac is expected to go to Toulouse. Nicolas Dica (Nicolae Dică in Romanian) has also played for Dacia Piteşti, and FC Arges Pitesti. He has at least 17 caps for the Romanian National Team. I don’t know much about Dica, but I have read that he is dangerous on free kicks.

Claude Puel
This transfer development comes during a poor time for the club. Recently Lille has lost three major players (Keita, Bodmer, Tavlaridis). Mercato 365 even wrote a whole article about LOSC’s poor transfer season so far. Their headline reads: “Où va le LOSC ?” (where is LOSC going?). The article discussed Lille’s horrible 2nd part of the last season, and the bad start to the transfer season. The writer,François David ,says that Lille did not really launch its recruitment campaign. David, brings up good points. LOSC’s 2nd part of the season was a disaster, and the transfer season has only made the club worse. What are Seydoux and Puel doing?

I’ve always thought that Dica was too good to play in the Romanian league. Granted, he’s not one of the best strikers out there, but he’s affordable, and more important, he’s willing to give L1 a try and doesn’t consider French clubs too small.

It was a shame that his injury meant he had to sit out through most of Steaua’s UEFA cup campaign. I think he would have helped them a lot.
