Transfer News: Kluivert, Béria

Feyenoord Rotterdam is reportedly interested in 31 year old LOSC striker, Patrick Kluivert. This was Kluivert’s first season with the club. He only scored 4 goals this year, but Puel has said that he values the veteran’s wisdom. I don’t think his departure would be a key loss. LOSC defender Franck Béria’s contract has been extended by one year. The extension brings his contract’s term to 2011. Nice extension for the LOSC newcomer. Throughout the season he has been solid on defense. Two players are rumored to be heading to Lille: Oscar Ewolo and Fabrice Abriel. Both Lorient players are midfielders in their late 20s, and are set to replace Makoun and Mavuba. Sounds like a bad deal for Lille. Makoun and Mavuba both are more talented than these two.
