Tough Friendly For Les Dogues

By: Julien | July 17th, 2007

Lille-Amiens
Last Saturday, fĂŞte nationale, LOSC played a friendly against Ligue 2’s Amiens SC. Surprisingly, it was a tough match for Lille. Well it isn’t that big of a surprise considering the weak squad we have right now. The first half line-up consisted of Malicki, Debuchy, Plestan, Franquart, Tafforeau, Yanes, Cabaye, Obraniak, Bastos, Dumont, and Fauvergue. The second half line-up included: Malicki (Oukidja 63′), Beria, Rami, Franquart (Taravel 63′,) Emerson, Debuchy (Lichsteiner 63′), Dumont (Ewane 63′), Maric, TourĂ©, Chedjou, Makiese (Robail 85′). The line-ups are courtesy of allezlelosc.fr. Amiens scored early in the match (4th minute) from a goal by Heitzmann. Soon Amiens’ Raynier would earn a penalty kick from a blow by the usual offender, Bastos. Heitzmann took the kick, but missed (bonne chance!). Fauvergue scored the last goal and evened the score at 1-1. After the match Claude Puel said it was tough for Les Lillois to get into the match during the beginning. He gave credit to Amiens’ vigor and rhythm. Finally, he noted that people saw an interesting line-up for the second half with young, enthusiastic players. So Puel praised the youth of LOSC, but did not acknowledge the vulnerabilities of the squad. It looks like Puel and Seydoux are both delusional. Les Dogues’ next friendly is against Sporting Lisbon on July 21.
