Tony Sylva’s Departure and Transfer Rumors

This monday’s edition of La Voix des Sports, a French football website, had a transfer rumor regarding 2 ASSE keepers. Supposely, Jody Viviani and Jérémie Janot could both be heading to Lille next season. The rumor has not yet been confirmed however. Also, LOSC keeper Tony Sylva will not play in Lille’s next match against Lens and their last match of the season against Lorient. Grégory Malicki will be in goal during both encounters. It is rumored that this decision may foreshadow the departure of Sylva. Sylva is a solid keeper, and it would be very unfortunate to see him in another uniform after so many years with the club. In the past, the Senegalese has been crucial to the club’s limited success in the Champions League by keeping out tough shots from such clubs as Manchester United, and A.C. Milan. He will be missed.
