Scoreless Draw At Stade Geoffroy Guichard
By: Julien | May 7th, 2008
The current Ligue 1 season draws to a close, and Lille’s position in the table has remained pretty stagnant. For several weeks now, LOSC has hovered around 6th place in the table. Last Sunday, two close clubs in the table battled it out at Stade Geoffroy Guichard, ASSE’s (Association sportive de Saint-Étienne Loire). Saint-Étienne came into the match 5th place. The final score ended 0-0. Makoun, Cabaye, and Mavuba did a great job frustrating the ASSE offense. At the beginning of the match Mirallas, former goal scorer of the month, messed up a great chance to score. Nevertheless, Lille remains in the running for 5th place in the table. Their next match is a northern derby against RC Lens. Match facts:
