Rumor: Claude Puel May Head To Lyon!
By: Julien | March 23rd, 2008
According to today’s edition of la Voix du Nord, a local newspaper for the northern region of France, Lille manager Claude Puel may be heading to Olympique Lyonnais next season. Supposely, the leaders of Lyon are disappointed with Alain Perrin, which is mainly because of the club’s Champions League departure. Les Gones are still number 1 in the Ligue 1 table, and still in the Coupe de France. I think his removal is a little soon, but Lyon is a club with pretty high expectations. Claude Puel has been with Lille for 6 years now after coaching AS Monaco. He has consistently helped the club succeed in the domestic league, and to fare decently in the Champions League. Maybe Inara can clear this rumor up. Don’t forget to check out her Lyon blog, by the way.

I wish!
Puel is my ideal coach for OL. I really like him. But I don’t think he’ll ever want to work with Aulas and Lacombe.
