Possible Contract Extension For Mirallas
By: Julien | July 4th, 2008
Kevin Mirallas is close to a contract extension with Lille. The extension could take his contract through 2011. Good news for LOSC! Mirallas is a very promising attacker. He already has several selections for Belgium.
L’Équipe reports that Lille is signing Cédric Baseya for four years. LOSC management, however, denies his arrival.
Frosinone Calcio’s Zlatko Dedič is an attacking possibility for Lille. The Slovenian scored 14 goals last season in Italian Serie B (division 2 Italian football). We continue to struggle signing players. ASSE’s Yohan Hautcoeur is wanted by Lille, Lens, and Grenoble, but Saint-Étienne intends on keeping the midfielder. Lille also wants Fahid Ben Khalfallah, but Angers plans on extending his contract. Ugh. So the boring mercato continues for Lille and several other French clubs. Is it too much to ask to see a key signing for Lille?
Yep, I was spot on about Sébastien Puygrenier. Footlille reports that Lille won’t follow up with Puygrenier’s signing because of his ridiculous 5 to 6 million euros price. AS Nancy must be crazy.
One reason why Olympique de Marseille wants Mavuba is Modeste M’Bami’s potential transfer. M’Bami may go to an English club according to Mercato365.fr. He has played 66 matches for OM since 2006.
