Makoun To Lyon For 14 Million
By: Julien | May 31st, 2008
L’Équipe reports that Jean II Makoun will be transferred to Lyon for 14 million euros. Good price? I think so, but I want us to ask for at least a little bit more.
Lille is currently looking at two keepers, Charles Itandje and Marco Wolfli. Two other clubs are interested in Itandje including Portsmouth, and Rennes. No surprise there considering the talent that the Liverpool keeper possesses. Just check out this key save in a UEFA Cup match when he played for our rival, RC Lens.
Loïc Rémy is another potential new dogue (note: in French Lille is nicknamed les dogues). Last season he was on loan to RC Lens from Lyon. This year he has scored 4 goals in 19 matches, and received a call up from Raymond Domenech for the France A’ squad (France’s lower national team squad). He is pretty young so Loïc has time to grow and get even better. He should be a good addition to the club.
The transfer season isn’t looking to bad for LOSC right now. We might get some key additions to the club. Let’s stop the talking and sign already! Lille reserve player Brian Obino has officially signed a professional contract with the club for one season. Obino is 19 years old and plays the offensive midfield position. Congratulations to the promising youngster.

If was a fan of any team other than Lyon, I would be agaisnt this transfer. This only makes Lyon stronger and is slowly turning the rest of the French teams into feeder teams for Lyon and the rest of Europe.

Makoun departure might hurt Lille. But Itandje and Remy will be very good additions. Remy might make up for the loss of Keita. I hope the deals go through.
