LOSC Ties Stade Rennais 2-2
By: Julien | September 3rd, 2007
LOSC’s 8th match of Ligue 1 had them facing Stade Rennais FC away at Route de Lorient. Lille’s last 5 matches were 4 draws and a loss. Rennes’ last five matches were 3 victories and 2 draws. Going in, Rennes seemed to have better form than LOSC. In 31 confrontations between the two sides (since 1932), Rennes has won 15 of them, and 9 matches ended in a draw. Interesting match. Both sides had several chances to score. Rennes was dominating possession for some time so they probably are disappointed with the result. Sylva could be blamed a little for the Didot goal. He cleared the ball badly. I think Lille was lucky to get a point out of this match. I did not expect them to play that well.

Lille might have gotten lucky, but I’m just glad they are scoring. Remember last year when they went weeks without scoring a goal?
