Lille Trying To Sign Sébastien Puygrenier
By: Julien | June 30th, 2008
Lille is currently in the running for Sébastien Puygrenier along with PSG and ASSE. LOSC will give Nancy their offer soon. That is good news since Lille needs another defender to replace Stephan Lichtsteiner’s eventual transfer.
Valenciennes FC may sign another Lille player during this transfer window. La Voix des Sports reports that VAFC’s manager, Antoine Kombouaré, is interested in Nicolas Fauvergue. Fauvergue is one of Lille’s main strikers. I hope the LOSC recruters have some strikers in mind to replace him if he indeed leaves. We still need a solid attacker to assist Mirallas. Fauvergue, Frau, Youla, Yanes, and Makiese just aren’t cutting it for us.
Steve Savidan discussed his future with La Voix des Sports today. Although he is on Lille’s wishlist, it looks like he will move to Caen. It will be a good move for Caen if they do sign him. They lost Gouffran to Bordeaux so they need some attacking power.
“There was Toulouse, Nice, Lille, Nantes, Saint-Etienne and Monaco. With Caen I am pleased with the discussions that I had with Frank Dumas, the president, and my new team mates. I am looking to move to Caen and the club should make arrangements with Valenciennes.”
Sochaux wants 3.5 million euros for their midfielder Guirane N’Daw. FC Nantes already offered 2 million euros. Lille hasn’t made an offer yet. So far with the transfer window closing August 17 Lille has only signed 2 players.
Today, practice was at Deauville, Basse-Normandie. The players are going to practice there for the rest of the week since this Saturday Lille plays AS Cherbourg. AS Cherbourg plays division 3 football in the Championnat de France de football National.

No offense Julien but I hope he goes to PSG. That’s only because they are super weak and are playing in uefa cup. If PSG screw up it’s bad for uefa coefficient. They need a squad to atleast go through the group stages.

I see your point. Germany is pretty close to us with the UEFA coefficient rankings and Russia is gaining:
France 52.668
Germany 48.722
Russia 43.750Posted from
