Lille Take Out Marseille
By: Julien | April 22nd, 2008
LOSC made things even tighter for Olympique de Marseille in Le Championnat last Sunday as they sealed a win at the Stade Vélodrome. The score ended 1-3, a result largely in Lille’s favor. Marseille’s Gerets seemed perplexed. OM opened the match for themselves early thanks to a goal from Nasri’s erratic feet. Then later Les Phocéens fell away from the match due to two successive first half goals by the young Belgian, Mirallas. Nice win for Lille as they ascend in the general classifications to 6th place. Marseille drops to 4th place and remains in a close fight with Nancy. Match facts:
