Hungry For Players: Transfer Rumors Including Djemba-Djemba, Sterchele, And Passos

Hungry For Players
There are several transfer rumors regarding LOSC right now. According to allezlesdogues.com, three additional players may arrive to the club: Djemba-Djemba, Passos, and Sterchele. Eric Djemba-Djemba is a Cameroonian midfielder. He is 26 years old and he is currently on loan to Burnley F.C. Supposely, the LOSC management sees Djemba-Djemba as Bodmer’s replacement. I still think it will be very hard for the club to replace Bodmer. I hope the management regrets his departure.

Al-Sadd forward, Marcio Emerson Passos, is another player that has interested Les Dogues. The Brazilian is reportedly a star in Qatar. When he played in the Japanese 2nd division for Consadole Sapporo he scored 19 goals in 18 matches. On January 20th 2006, Emerson (his nickname) was apprehended by Brazilian police for falsifying his birth certificate. The fake one said that he was three years younger. Weird crime to commit. I guess he is funny about his age. Emerson played for one of the most popular Brazilian clubs, São Paulo Futebol Clube. Al-Sadd has expressed their desire to keep Emerson. They want to extend his contract to three years, but he wants to show his talent in Europe. Several French clubs besides Lille want Emerson, including Rennes and Monaco.

KFC Germinal Beerschot Anvers striker, François Sterchele, has also attracted the club. Sterchele’s former clubs include RFC de Liège, Union La Calamine, and Sporting de Charleroi. This talented striker was the best of his league last season (Jupiler League). He scored 21 goals that season. FC Bruges, Heerenveen, Wolfsburg, Arnhem Speed, Groningue, Anderlecht, and Standard de Liège all want the Belgian striker. He is currently 25 years old.

So there you have it. LOSC is tracking three really promising forwards. We will see if they can manage to nab at least one of them. I remain skeptical though. The transfer season hasn’t been very exciting thus far. It seems as if Les Dogues are trying to catch game animals as they are chained to a tree. Their efforts have been in vain so far.

Eric Djemba-Djemba is only 25? Are you kidding me?

Wasn’t he playing for ManU back in the early 1980’s? At least it seems that way.

He played for Manchester United from 2003-2005. He is actually 26. I will fix my typo.
