Frédéric Piquionne Negotiations Continue

Lille and AS Monaco will continue negotiating for Frédéric Piquionne in the days to come. Monaco values the striker at 6.5 million euros. We desperately need a new attacker. Whether Kevin Mirallas leaves or not, we still need a stronger offensive pair. ASSE is offering a four year contract to Sébastien Puygrenier. Footlille reports that Les Verts are gaining an upperhand on Rennes and Lille for the signing, but he actually wants to play for Rennes. Puygrenier is too expensive for Lille so I am not too concerned.

Lille, Valenciennes, Le Mans, ASSE, and Caen all want Laurent Agouazi. FC Metz values him at 750,000 euros. Also, Paris SG is offering Stephan Lichtsteiner a salary of 100 million euros a month including a large bonus from the signing. Rudy Garcia wants to keep Lichtsteiner despite his strong desire to leave. It may prove difficult for our new manager.

Two LOSC players are in the sick bay: Nicolas Plestan and Marko Maric. Maric has an ankle sprain. Plestan is just receiving care. This morning LOSC practiced in the Nordiste rain. Despite the rain, several Lillois came to watch the players.

Rio Mavuba spoke about his partnership on the field with Florent Balmont:
“I don’t know the match tactics will emerge next season, but it is possible that I will play aligned with Florent Balmont. I will be dealing with a good player.”
Rudy Garcia says that he is happy to have both of them in the roster. I am so happy that we kept Mavuba. Best signing during this mercato by far.

  What happened to that Yanes guy that Puel bought last season? Has he even played for Lille yet?

  Also, I hope the club is making efforts to keep Eden Hazard.

  Yep PSG is crazy, Aditya. Martha-yeah Balmont most likely will be in the starting 11. Inara- Luis Yanes has only played two matches with Lille. The poor guy moved all the way from Columbia to France to sit on the bench it seems.

  Hazard is an incredible player, he really is the jewel of the youth team. I expect him to play a good amount this year, and impress everyone with his dribbling.
