LOSC played their 18th match of the season last Saturday against ASSE at home. Fortunately, the club won and dug itself out of relegation zone. Line-ups:

Big win for les dogues considering they were in relegation zone. Lichtsteiner had a nice header goal thanks to a free kick by Obraniak. Also Plestan scored a goal thanks to sloppy defense from Saint Étienne. Finally, Cabaye scored a goal on a LOSC penalty kick. I honestly didn’t think Lille could pull off a win. Maybe the frigid northern cold was too much for les stéphanois. Next Sunday, Lille plays our northern rival, RC Lens. Lens is currently one spot lower than Lille in the table (16th). Should be a great derby.
